Fire at Cumberland Barn Destroyed Horses and Shop
Last evening about nine o'clock a fire swept a Cumberland barn owned by G. A. Heabing, consuming the structure and two stallions and a jack. Flames spread to Joe Kacrice's blacksmith shop then to Richard's grain office, leaving only debris. Two small barns near the grain office were burned, one housing about $1600 of Overbaltzer & Son farm machinery. A photo from Fred Kerrick’s Colorado-based father shows a gigantic mam moth potato grown near Loveland weighing 86 pounds 10 ounces, to be used for seed.
