Accident Day in Atlanta Leaves Six Hurt

A busy day in Atlanta reports five accidents with six people injured. Notable cases include Mrs Dougherty, wife of wholesale merchant Mr Dougherty, struck by a bicycle near 480 Peachtree Street causing a serious hip fracture, and 18 o clock collision where a streetcar rider knocked down. Clayton Callaway broke an arm while cranking a auto. Ida Higgins fell on steps, and a young man on a bicycle near Peachtre o and Merritts Avenue contributed to pandemonium as children watched a circus parade. Police seek the bicycle rider, description provided. Mrs Dougherty remains in serious condition under medical care. the Doughertys reside at 480 Peachtree Street.

Chicago revival march silences Tenderloin with prayers

Thousands of Chicago Christians invaded the Tenderloin district led by evangelist Gipsy Smith to seek deliverance from sin. A two mile procession formed near Thirty-Fourth Street and Wentworth Avenue as mass meetings followed at midnight. The orderly crowd prayed and sang while the city’s saloons dimmed under a bright illumination.

Taxi drivers walk off the job at 6 46, leaving two substitutes and minimal joy riding. They complain the 2 cent commission era forces them to pay for gasoline, repairs, and broken parts, cutting profits. Driver Chastain earned 78 cents that week after deductions. Announcement by C D Wayne of Seaboard Air Line states trunk lines agree on excursion rates to Atlanta for the upcoming Automobile Show and races. Seaboard Goes Back to Owners in Court Decree

United States Circuit Judge JC Pritchard approved the plan of reorganization for the Seaboard Air Line Railway Company and ordered receivers Warfield Davies R Lancaster Williams and E C Duncan to transfer the property back to the railway. The decree follows a long trial with General Counsel Leigh R Watts and James F Wright presenting for Seaboard and Continental Trust Company. No person in interest objected to the plan, and consent was entered by Atlanta and Birmingham.
