Wife Derides Husband in Bigamy Case Reversed
In a Lowndes county bigamy case, the Court of Appeals reversed the lower court after noting the defendant William Robinson’s second marriage to Ora Simms followed Catherine Conway's first marriage. The trial judge did not adequately curb the first wife’s courtroom derision, and the opinion explains that absence of a formal divorce does not prove death if the decree of bigamy is to be sustained.
