A well known Atlanta lawyer has been chosen to supervise the census in the city for the year 1910. The appointment places Mr. McLelland in charge of counting residents and compiling the community’s population data during the forthcoming national enumeration.
Loch McClelland of Stone Mountain is appointed census supervisor for the fifth district in a surprise move after a political maneuver in Washington. The decision comes as Francis and Livingston push for a Georgia Democrat in another district. McClelland, 34, is an attorney from DeKalb County.
Washington October 1 Fl Lewin, linked to the National Trust Company and related firms in guaranteed securities, was held under bond of 3509 by United States Commissioner Union Tastor. An indictment awaits, accusing him of defrauding the public through alleged conspiracy against the government and illegal use of unauthenticated means.
