In Jamesport Missouri March 30 Mrs Jamen Wood wife of a farmer stopped a mob from hanging two men accused of shooting Marshal Cerraway. The posse wounded the suspects and had a rope ready before Mrs Wood pleaded for lawful process. Wounded men were moved to Gallatin jail while a third suspect was pursued toward Grand River bottoms.
President Taft at a Harvard dinner announced Dr. Charles W. Eliot of Harvard University has been tendered the appointment of ambassador to Great Britain. Senator Root and Senator Ost referenced Eliot’s election, with Taft affirming strong endorsement of Eliot as a true American gentleman representing the republic.

Colonel Jose Reyes killed in Quintana Roo incident with four wounded. no war department details released.

Augusta Ga March 20 Samuel Bidson 56 shot his wife Mary Eidson in the breast during a quarrel over alleged infidelity. He then shot himself, a bullet entering his lungs. Eidson died. the wife may recover.

Ardmore Oklahoma March 30 Harriet Face a full blood Chickasaw Indian shot four times at Dr William Ader a practicing dentist at Madi Oklahoma. Ader died today from six wounds. Face is held for preliminary hearing claiming self defense after saying Ader attacked her.
