Major Changes in Georgia Tax Return Rules 1899

Taxpayers must report property owned on February 1, not March 1, to preventout-of-state assets from escaping taxation. The governor and comptroller general authorize the change, with Fulton County aligning its city and county timing. An oath requirement remains, with penalties and funds affecting education.
