Amusements. Musical side of The Highwayman at the Grand

Ca mille Darville stars in The Highwayman an operetta by Wesmwald DeKoven with bright music and lively chorus though not equal to DeKoven's Robin Hood. George O Donnell and Nette Braggins deliver strong vocal turns while the chorus shines. The production, costumes, and staging impress a large audience, though some compare it unfavorably to DeKoven's better known works.
