Improvements on the South Side Club Probes Ward Disparities
The executive committee of the Sec ond and Third Ward Club met in the courthouse basement to review a supplemental report by Robert F. Otis on alleged ward discriminations. They discussed creating committees to push sanitary and street improvements, funding for Ormond and Washington streets, and securing a Carnegie library branch with city funding and a safe site. A library site depends on city money, and the group planned future meetings and membership drives with multiple ward officials.
