Boy 11 Badly Injured by Vicious Bulldog in East Point

Eugene Berkhan, 11, son of Mrs. Charles Heath of 187 South Forsyth Street, was attacked by a bulldog owned by Fred Clamment, a Blount Buggy Co foreman. Four men intervened to control the dog, and five shots killed it. He remained in critical condition as rescuers worked to save his life.

Bulldog Attack on Boy During Laundry Run

A laundry wagon driver and carpenters rushed to aid Eugene Barkhan after a large bulldog attacked him at the Cremment residence on Route 17. The dog killed only after eight men fired. surgeons treated Barkhan for severe leg wounds and potential permanent nerve damage. Mrs Clemment initially refused to surrender the dog.
