Corey iron and steel hub shaped by United States Steel plans

Corey is positioned as a major iron and steel hub with Pittsburg and Gary as centers. The United States Steel Corporation backs Corey’s development near vast coal ore and limestone deposits to enable cheaper production, aiming to serve one third of the nation. Preliminary lot offerings begin June 28 to house workers and fund a model city with full improvements included, as streets, sewers, and paving advance.
