J J Meador elected superintendent at Grady hospital to succeed T F Brewster who resigned. Meador, a prominent Atlanta insurance man, won eight of nine votes. Dr A B Hargrove had one vote. Brewster served fourteen years and resigned citing age and workload. Board approves plan for railroad wards with city support and future takeover option.
