Prominent local citizen Frank T. Ryan dies unexpectedly
Frank T. Ryan, long time clerk of the superior court and city council member, died at 3 p.m. yesterday at his Washington Street home after ingesting poison from a bottle of embalming fluid left in his closet by his son Paul. The Georgia-born pioneer, aged 69, moved from Atlanta to Arkansas before the Civil War, served in the Sixteenth Arkansas regiment, and survived by three children Frank T., Paul, and Annie. Funeral plans are forthcoming.

Freeman Dies After Poison Dose in Atlanta Home
Freeman, 37 Carnegie Way, formerly of Talbotton Georgia, married three months ago, killed himself with a dose of poison in his Atlanta boarding house. He kissed his wife good night at 1030 PM then died within an hour after entering the bathroom. The poison, suspected arsenic or laudanum, remains undetermined. An inquest at Patterson’s undertaking establishment is expected.

Narrow Escape for a Family in Car Accident
BW Holkrove his wife and two children of 221 Wastehall Street had a very narrow escape yesterday afternoon when their carriage was struck in the rear by an automobile driven by J W McNall of Windsor Street. The unit was moving at a fair speed and the collision wrecked the carriage. all occupants escaped serious injury. Sir Hargrave stated the crash was frightening but avoided disaster.

Man claims sleep dream caused rock inland train killings
John Bello, an Italian stonemason, told an interpreter he killed a man and wounded two women while on a Rock Inland train east of here, claiming the shooting happened in a dream while he slept. He described the dream and said he did not intend to kill, with Getto jailed locally.

Charles Fleming died yesterday morning at 375 Courtland Street after months of illness. A longtime secretary of the Southeastern Tariff Association, he was 68 and born December 6 1847 in Macon. Survived by wife Minnie Gay and son Charles C Fleming Jr brothers James M Fleming and William P Fleming.

Jhon Carrell a prosperous young farmer east of Dalton went with Harrigan Holland to obtain a marriage license. On the way back they drank, quarrelled, and Holland shot Carrell twice, once through the head. Carrell died instantly. Holland fled and has not been captured.

Death of Ida Fincher From Blood Poisoning
Ida Fincher, 18, of Bible City, daughter of Mr and Mrs E Fincher, died in Columbus after blood poisoning from picking a cheek sore with a brass pin. The wound inflamed the cheek and the infection spread to the brain, causing death after four days. Funeral services were set for 4 pm at St Luke's Episcopal Church, with interment at Oakland.

Eight Men Die As Rail Wreck Slaughters Track Crew
Hartford June 28 Eight workmen killed and thirty five injured when a Highland division passenger train derailed behind a work train near New Britain. Rescue efforts were slow with one man trapped an hour and a half. Fire followed the wreck and priests administered last rites. Engineers dispute cause while passengers were shaken and some wounded. Annexation plans for Macon Georgia outlined
