Wisconsin Wet and Dry Struggle Shapes State Legislature
In Wisconsin the wet and dry fight intensifies as the Culliver bill gains executive sign, while the assembly shows liberal leanings. Votes split along wet dry lines with the Senate narrowly dry and the house more mixed. Moves to modify enforcement laws and the Volstead act offer limited gains, as lawmakers debate beer sales and search provisions amid governor Blaine’s indicated dissatisfaction.
