Dr H F Harris secretary of the state board of health and head of the state laboratory at the capitol is recovering at Silver Birch lodge near Franklin North Carolina after an operation in June for mastoiditis. He was married in the east during June and later went to Philadelphia for the procedure at Jefferson Medical Hospital. The operation succeeded and his condition has improved steadily.
