Gainesville Chamber of Commerce led the Hall county Boosters on a multi town tour through northeast Georgia. Nearly 38 cars carried banners praising Hall county wealth and goods. crowds lined Peachtree Street as law officers and civic leaders welcomed them. The itinerary included Homer, Maysville, Commerce, Jefferson, Winder, Lawrenceville, Buford, Suwanee, Duluth, Norcross, with Roswell and Dahlonega on Saturday before returning to Gainesville.

Attempt to murder mayor and wife in Highland NC

Oldknow Home Robbed And Auto Stolen Thursday
City detectives hold a Black chauffeur of William Oldknow, director of Universal Motion Pictures and president of Consolidated Film Supply, after thieves stole a gray Buick Roadster from the Oldknow residence at 435 Cherokee Avenue on Thursday night. The burglary also touched the home in New York where the Oldknows are currently visiting, with a number of silver items taken. The chauffeur admitted using the car in the employer’s absence, the vehicle identified as a 1914 Buick Roadster model B-24 with motor number B-611 and 28 horsepower. monograms OSO 7 on doors.
