Brilliant Fort McPherson Ball Sets Atlanta Social Scene
Invitations to a fall ball at Fort McPherson Georgia promise a brilliant affair. The event to be held February 19 at 9 pm in the Achietic building will feature Army colors and decorations. Notable residents and officers, including Mrs Potts Mrs Francis L Pageon and Mrs HO Baraca, host and attend with local society figures Bankhead and the Terretts taking prominent roles. The ball marks a reunion for Army and Atlanta society with dignitaries returning from Cuba and a hoped for permanent residence for Colonel Samuel H Jones and his daughter. The bachelor officers will add to the gaiety as social ties strengthen between the fort and the city.
