Insanity Plea Placed in Smith Murder Trial
Carrollton Georgia December 13 The trial of Robert Smith for murder continues before Judge T A Atkinson in superior court. Smith’s counsel relies on an insanity plea. Smith and his young wife wed recently but quarreled leading to a confrontation. He shot her as they traveled from her father’s and she died minutes later.
