Birmingham Alabama December 12 Tomorrow's meeting of the receivers of the Southern Steel Company in this city will be reported to creditors. Debts exceed 500000 dollars. Disclosures at the meeting may be sensational and some former directors may face criminal charges. Receivers are Colonel T G Bush J O Thompson E G Chandler and D B Adler of Birmingham. Creditors from Chattanooga and elsewhere will attend. The Southern Steel Company capitalized at twenty five million dollars arose from amalgamating furnaces and ore properties in Alabama Georgia and Tennessee. Most plants have been shut down as funds to operate are unavailable. Potential buyers include the Atlanta Syndicate and the Bloss Sheffield Steel and Iron Company. the latter is viewed as the more likely purchaser.

Skeleton Found in Alabama Still Leaves Death Mystery
The skeleton of Young Asseltine, son of Mrs Asseltine a Fruithurst hotel keeper, was found December 12 near gold mines in Cleburne county Alabama. He disappeared March 18 last. $180 and nuggets were found in his clothing. His father had died by suicide six years earlier, leaving the case unresolved.

Rhiner Elected Mayor in Georgia Primary
In Wrights tle Georgia on December 12 the primary elected mayor and five councilmen for the next year. George M. Rhiner was unanimously nominated for council. Other nominees included J W Brinson Sr E A Lovett J E Brantley H Moye and T L Martin. Remaining council candidates were W C Tompkins J W A Crawford and Y H Birch. The new administration will take charge in January as the current mayor J W Brinson Jr did not seek reelection.
