Central Presbyterian Church Sees Seven Years Under One Pastor
Yesterday marked seven years of the current pastorate at Central Presbyterian and the addition of two elders John J Began and J B Campbell. Dr Theron Rice preached on God as salvation and strength citing Isaiah xi 1 and Isaiah xxvi 3 and recalled the church’s founding Sunday in December 1886. The church has prospered financially and in other ways by a practice of dependence on God and prayer without sensational methods.
