At Madison Square Garden seventeen riders from eleven teams begin a six day international race. Contestants may ride twelve hours daily with relays allowed, and prizes total 4500 dollars. Teams include Swiss French Rettick Beaugendre and Simar Gougolta, Irish American Keegan Turville, Dixie Flyers Kramer Fenn, and others led by Bedell, Bedell, and Walthour Munro.
A canvass of manufacturers in Lowell Massachusetts on December 6 finds local cotton mills unfazed by current price increases. Mills are well supplied with affordable cotton and have material on hand or contracted, ensuring continued operation for months.
