Edgar Inquest Continues On Golf Pro J Douglas Edgar

The inquest into the death of J Douglas Edgar a noted golf professional of the Druid Hills club continued as witnesses described the midnight scene on West Peachtree street Monday. Witness Loyd Wisholt, city editor of The Constitution, recounted finding the body and the ambulance delay. L L Shivers testified Edgar had golfed at Brookhaven earlier and escorted him home. Miss L Warren said she heard a high powered car and a groan after a crash. Tom Wilson of Drufld Hills added the car slowed then sped away after the accident. The victim was to be buried in Atlanta with funeral Thursday at Patterson’s chapel. The coroner’s jury postponed the continuation to Thursday.
