Three Injured As Car Tips Over Near County Line

Mystery surrounds an overturned touring car at the junction of Hapeville and Brown miles roads near the county line. Between 11 and 12 Saturday night the big Cole 30, No. 21450, owned by Claude E Sims overturned down a 24 foot embankment injuring Claude’s brother Ralph Sims with a broken arm and two young ladies whose names were withheld. Ralph and the two girls were treated at Davis and Fisher Sanatorium. doctors said their conditions were not serious.

Turpentine and Rosin Export Company Formed in Savannah

Savannah August 10. The Turpentine and Rosin Export company was organized in Jacksonville with prominent naval stores operators, aiming to control much of the recently suspended American Naval Stores business. Officers include D M Flynn president and J A Carson vice president. Capital stock listed at 1,000,600 with Savannah and Jacksonville as joint headquarters.

Woman Awarded Aid Then Arrested for Soliciting

Mrs Eugenia Ward 27 posing homeless pleaded for shelter at police HQ and moved officers to donate funds to an uptown hotel. Christian Militancy by Knights Templar in Denver

In Denver August 10 the Knights Templar held a thirty second triennial conclave drawing thousands to services at the auditorium. The Knights formed at Masonta Temple and marched to a downtown hotel to meet grand encampment officers, then returned to hear Grand Prelate Walden preach on unselfishness and the Golden Rule before a large crowd. The service ended with the Knights singing America.

Fatal duel ends in Warren's death in Kansas

Lawrence Kansas August 10 Dean Warren 23 a ranchman died today from a bullet wound after a formal duel staged at midnight Saturday. Douglas county authorities search for the duelist involved. Witnesses say the men halted at 89 paces and fired four shots with one striking Warren in the head. A dice game is said to have sparked the quarrel before the duel.
