Wadley urges Georgia to sell the W and A railroad
Macon, Aug 7. George Dele Wadley, former railroad builder, endorses selling the W and A. He cites a 1910 commission cost estimate near 4.6 million and argues state ownership blocks competition. Wadley warns extensions to Darien or Brunswick are unlikely and Savannah should be the terminus if extended. He calls for selling as private capital could better serve public needs.
