Augusta Wedding at Sacred Heart Unites Rex and Fitzgerald
Augusta Ga August 7 Special Correspondence The week’s leading social event was the Tuesday wedding at Sacred Heart church of Mr John Aloysius Rex and Miss Ethel Claire Fitzgerald. The ceremony featured a decorated chancel, a wedding march, and a reception at the bride’s mother’s home before the couple left for Copieston s then New York. The pair will visit Philadelphia and Atlantic City before settling with the bride’s family on Ellis Street. The social rounds include banquets, card parties, and motor trips as Augusta society notes and plans for future gatherings featuring local families and visiting guests.
