Rival Camps Battle Near Gainesville Endangers Lives
Gainesville Ga April 28 Twenty five members from two rival construction camps of the Proposed Gainesville and Northern railway fought a pitched battle on nearby hills armed with pistols shotguns and rifles. Dozens wounded several arrested Sheriff Crow leading about ten prisoners to Hall county jail as searchers sweep the woods for fugitives. A dead man may be among the missing with others captured or fled into the mountains. The clash followed intense rivalry between the white and black factions across 200 yards. The hour long conflict drew praise for photogenic drama from a motion picture photographer. Sunday morning tensions between camps had been rising.

Paris Bandit Duel Ends With Blast and Death
Bonnot and Duboin, leaders of the Paris automobile gang, were shot dead after a five hour standoff in a Choisy-le-Roi garage. Police and gendarmes surrounded the building as a dynamite blast from Versailles levelled the front wall. Bonnot was captured alive then died en route to a hospital. Duboin and two detectives were killed in the firefight as crowds watched.
