Cotton Buyer Beese to Visit Atlanta for Orders
According to word at the Atlanta branch of the Bureau of Foreign and Domestic Commerce United States Department of Commerce S P Boese of A C Fraser Co Rotterdam will visit Atlanta soon for a prolonged stay to review the cotton and tobacco situation and book orders He recently arrived in the United States and will tour the cotton belt meeting exporters with arrangements arranged through the local bureau.

Empire Life Building Sold to Augusta Stock Group
Judge W D Ellis ruled to transfer Augusta’s seventeen story Empire Life Building from the Empire Life Insurance company to a local stock organization. The move relieves Empire Life of all liabilities, with estimated obligations at a quarter of a million and assets around 173000. The stock group plans to complete the building, damaged by a recent fire, which was under construction when the blaze occurred. Empire Life remains under state liquidation in the purange department.

Four in car escape serious injury after Peachtree road wreck
Four people narrowly avoided serious harm when their automobile overturned on Peachtree road near Lakeview at noon. A broken nose was the worst injury for R A Hardage of Austell, who was thrown against the tonneau. Mrs Austin suffered only bruises and scratches. all were en route to Atlanta to inspect a real estate deal. W E Booker driven the car, with Thomas W Sackson and others aboard. The crash followed steering gear failure and the vehicle left the road. Mrs Austin was taken to Grady hospital for treatment.
