Horses and Automobiles Worth Over 350 Million Sent From U S

Since the befinning of the war more than 350 million dollars of horses, automobiles, and accessories have been exported from the United States, per a Foreign Trade Dept statement of the National City Bank. German Propaganda Flood Reaches Capitol in Washington

Washington April 26. Organized propaganda protests continue pouring into the capitol as senators and representatives, led by middle western members, deploy extra clerks while telegraph firms bring in operators from other cities. Senator Hastings plans to press the issue in the senate and consider a move to investigate who supplied telegram forms and who paid thousands for delivery. He cites letters from Evon Mach warning criminal liability for urging German sympathizers to telegram the ambassador. A Chicago affiliate warned Wisconsin society members to bombard him with messages to back embargo actions on ammunition. A sheet listing message forms circulated, urging any form be used to contact members of congress.
