Dalton Ga April 9 at 145 p m fire swept through the large warehouse of Barrett, Denke & Lyon, quickly spreading to adjacent structures. The building was destroyed with a loss estimated near 340,000, over half uninsured, while nearby hardware depots suffered about 5,000 in damage. Local efforts prevented further blazes as vice president R Denton estimated the total figures and insured coverage.
