Rome Ga Sept 20 Capt J J C McMahan died at 8 30 after acute indigestion led to paralysis and coma at the home of Walter S Cothran His wife and son arrived from Athens but he did not regain consciousness The 65 year old war veteran banker and former Athens mayor and Clarke county representative had been active in the church and local business He will be buried in Athens in an Athens bound train funeral.
