Three children of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Head on Strong Street grew violently ill after eating cabbage buttermilk and a candy sucker. Doctors diagnosed ptomaine poisoning. the nine and six year olds were severely affected while the four year old boy remained critical. The older girl showed improvement overnight as the two younger children remained in danger.

Death of a Little Boy at Pluckett Home
Julius Plunkett aged five died after a brief illness at the home of Mr and Mrs A E Pluckett in this city. The death was a great blow to the saddened parents and many friends extended sympathy. The remains were carried to Union Point yesterday for interment.
