Emmanuel church plans a stone rectory on the site of the precent chapel behind the church. Construction estimated at about four thousand dollars, with work starting next spring. The church ladies will raise funds for the project.
The fire that destroyed Science Hall left chemistry and biology without labs. Drs White and Campbell began immediate work on temporary labs to support instruction. White’s lab ready by Monday, Campbell’s soon after. Fully equipped labs to be ready by next fall.
Rev L B Norton aged Baptist preacher who fell at the Mewborn House during the Baptist convention is improving slowly. He receives attentive care from city Baptists and other citizens and will be cared for at home in Banks county when able. The notice promotes Dr King s New Life Pills in an unrelated ad segment.

At a University of Georgia Alumni meeting a resolution authorized a painting of Rev Archelus H Mitchell then the oldest living graduate. After his death the work by Motes will be presented to Secretary D C Barrow for display in the Phi Kappa society hall until an alumni hall is built.
The Oconee Street Methodist church stewards elected officers for the coming year. W. M. Pittman named chairman and Rev. George E. Stone as secretary, with plans to promptly address upcoming lists and aim for a record year. The talk closing with a health note about fever prevention.
New York November 25 Governor Odell returns from Washington where he conferred with President Roosevelt and Senator Platt on New York Republican affairs. He says harmony was achieved through concessions on both sides and Platt remains party leader. Odell implies future active management but declines to detail further. Roosevelt's nomination appears likely for New York's delegation.
Constantinople reports a ministerial note in favor of accepting the Austro Russian plan for Macedonia with reservations. The note follows a night council and will go to the sultan for approval though diplomats doubt it will satisfy the major powers. Also in Bainbridge Georgia a white man B F Bethune died after falling from an oil tank at River Junction.
Ambassador Choate gave a luncheon to William J Bryan in London with invitees including Premier Halfour the Earl of Onslow Charles T Ritchie Sir Robert Giffen Sir Gilbert Parker Lord Denigh Lord Mount Stephen and William Courtney. A waltz titled Le Reve was composed by a child Max Daresky three years ago and now being played by Dan Godfrey's band at Bournemouth.
Berlin reports Emperor William has lowered his voice pitch to ease vocal chord strain. He may hire a teacher to apply voice culture methods already explained by Dr. H Holbrook Curtis and Professor A Krause. A bulletin notes a left vocal chord scar and ongoing massage and exercises with recovery expected in weeks.
Lord Curzon, traveling through Bunder-Abbas in Persia, convened a durbar at Shargah with Arab chiefs. The Union Pacific annual report for the year ended June 30, 1903, shows gross earnings of 51,075,189 up 3,574,900, operating expenses of 28,647,216 up 3,187,990, and net earnings of 22,827,978 up 989,919 with a net surplus after betterments and dividends of 4,945,479 up 657,514. The rise in expenses is blamed on higher wages more materials and congestion.

Ambulances from Harlem Hospital and police respond after glass shatters. two are seriously hurt, others escape with minor injuries as passengers flee along footpaths.
A Murfreesboro dispatch reports Mrs Silas Brackin cremated in a home fire near Nashville. While remodeling workers fought the blaze, an outbuilding structure burned, and she suffocated while attempting to smother flames on her clothing. Mrs Brackin, formerly Miss Mal Belle Gregory, once touted as America’s most beautiful woman in a New York contest.
Gainesville Ga November 25 crowds fill court for the trial of Mrs Oale Tanner charged with poisoning her husband John Tanner testifies that she confessed to him but later denied it. The second day draws more attention with no verdict expected Thursday morning. Aged Edith Baker nearly 104 burned to death in Macon while home alone by a fire. Riot at an election in Chicago ends without serious injuries as candidates clash. Newport yacht Ilderim seized over a $260 grocery bill owed by J Edward Addicks.
Justice John A. Pollock of the Kansas Supreme Court has been chosen to replace United States District Judge Hook, who was recently elevated to the United States circuit court for Arkansas.
A runaway bicycle caused a sudden halt with an ugly cut on the rider, details limited to the incident and immediate aftermath. Police and medical responders were called to the scene.
