Parsonage Dedication At First Methodist Church
Last evening the First Methodist parsonage was formally dedicated in a large ceremony led by Dr Isaac S Hopkins formerly pastor of the church. Mrs E W Speer of the city was honored as guest of the evening. Social reception followed with tea and sandwiches as committees praised the lavish furnishings and bright rooms prepared by Epworth League ladies and church ladies. The event marked the parsonage as an outstanding home for the minister.

Death of Fourteen Day Old Babe Brings Grief to Flanagan Family
Wednesday night at the home of Mr. W. H. Flanagan on Cemetery Street a fourteen day old infant died. The baby’s funeral was held yesterday afternoon conducted by Mr. Gardwell. Athens Votes Bond Issues for University of Georgia
City council approved placing bonds for fifty thousand dollars to fund University of Georgia buildings and twenty five thousand for the university itself. Sewer bonds of twenty five thousand dollars can be voted under existing law. Notice will be given and the bill sent through the legislature, after which an election on the bonds will be held.

The Grand Lodge of Georgia Odd Fellows adjourned in Columbus to meet in Macon next year after a business filled session. City Marshal Brooks returned from Talladega Alabama where he and Mrs Brooks were called after their son Mr W W Crooke suffered a severe accident. A frightened horse ran away throwing Brooks and crushing his skull with serious injuries. Doctors feared for his recovery though signs of improvement appeared yesterday.
