Citizens in Augusta have formed a legal trust with the adoption of an Ironclad uniform fee bill by the local law association. The measure passed unanimously after youthful opposition and requires every attorney to sign and adhere to the new schedule, kept secret from the public as a ritual of the group.
Carrollton Georgia March 13 Mrs Edna Belle Hopgood filed for divorce from Minoresa Garland Hopgood in Superior Court alleging a deceived and misled marriage that lasted about a month. She claims she was 14 years old and never consented to the union, meeting him only days before the ceremony while he was on furlough from the U S Army. She says the marriage was never treated as real and she never lived as husband and wife.
Yesterday afternoon Mi s Conway received a telegram stating that her father Mr W m Mann of Alleghany Station Va died from a complication of diseases at two o clock. Mrs Conway's many friends in the city extend sympathy in the bereavement.
