Death of Mr. T. F. Foster in Greensboro
Mr. T. F. Foster died Tuesday morning at his Greensboro home after months of illness at age eighty. Judge James F. Foster attended at the bedside. He was highly esteemed in Greene County. Funeral was held at the Greensboro residence Wednesday with many mourners. Newberry’s Senator Tillman to address voters at Youngs Grove near Prosperity on July 28.

Teachers Excursion to Tallulah Falls Delayed
The Summer School teachers will not travel to Tallulah Falls today. They will depart Athens tomorrow at seven in the morning and many plan to return tomorrow night while some stay longer. The Tallulah Falls trip is billed as a major yearly treat from the Summer School.

Bring All Prisoners Here Under New Federal Rule
Hereafter all United States prisoners who fail to comply will be held by Sheriff Weir for safekeeping until the next federal session in this city. Previously they were sent to Atlanta, but now they will be sent to Athens and kept until their cases are called for trial. The local jail has been enlarged to accommodate the prisoners.
