Firecrackers Injure Louisiana Legislators During Parade
Giant fireworks exploded by lawmakers during a Fourth of July parade in Baton Rouge injuring two representatives. One cracker tore a hat and caused a forehead wound to Charles B. Stroudback of New Orleans. another shattered two fingers of J. M. Hart of Reserve. A barrel of crackers had been placed in the statehouse earlier while members were in session.

Man Found Dead in Ravine Near Macon Senator's Farm
In Macon Georgia a man plowing near Senator A O Bacon's house discovered a dead man in a ravine. Identified as R C Dows missing manager of the Macon Phonograph Co. last seen June 28. A Panama hat and letters were found nearby. Dows leaves a wife and child in Decatur and was brother to H W Dews, secretary of the East Atlanta Land.
