Largest Sun Spot Discovered by Local Astronomer
Chicago February 2 a sun spot described by Prof A H Cole a local astronomer through a small opera glass on white paper showed a disc several inches wide. Calculations show the sun spot equals about one tenth of the solar diameter over 80000 miles at widest. The egg shaped spot sits east of the sun’s center and will be visible for several days.
