Calvin W Parr dies after long illness at Athens home
Dr Calvin W Parr aged sixty six dies at his Washington street home after a prolonged illness. He was a longtime Ath enian, a loyal Odd Fellow and Episcopal church member. Survived by widow, one daughter, five grandchildren, and several siblings. Funeral at Emmanuel church with Odd Fellows ceremonies at Oconee cemetery. Glenn Lodge No 75 and Oliver Encampment call members to assemble at 1 PM.

Yesterday two dollars more was added bringing the total to 1081.00. The fund has not missed a day of contributions from good hearts touched by the widow and children of Valentine Duna way. Mrs. C. P. Gwin gave two dollars yesterday. The list closes Saturday night, Dec. 31. At least 1500.00 is hoped for by then.
