Emu Beatrice Returns Home After Wild Run Through NH
Beatrice the emu once roamed New Hampshire for over a week before being reunited with owner Kermit Blackwood in Vermont. Blackwood traveled about 80 miles to Wings of the Dawn wildlife center where Maria Colby confirmed the bird’s identity as Beatrice. The emu recognized him, moving toward him as they were reunited Sunday, after a farm missing two emus incident.
