Road Load Limit Reduction and Bids Opened in Hocking County
Hocking County commissioners opened bids for a new asphalt paving machine and for winter road salt. Domtar Chemicals of Schiller Park IL was the low salt bidder at 12.50 per ton with 20 ton minimum. Salt from Wheelersburg, near Portsmouth, replaced last year’s supplier for excellent service. Paving machine bids were tabled for detailed review from Legg & Davis, McLean, King Equipment, and Columbus Equipment. A $5,000 bond was set for all trustees of Hocking Valley Community Hospital. Lions Club Chauncey Dover set for Thursday at 8 p.m. with bills totaling 1,818.75. Green Township Road 360 load limit on Section 12 to be reduced 50 percent due to strip mine activity. Buried Cable Project Completed in Glade Exchange
General Telephone Co of Ohio announced the completion of a 23200 buried cable project to expand the Glade exchange.
