Memorial Exercises Honor McKinley at Athens College Auditorium

A large Athens audience gathered Sunday night in the university auditorium for memorial exercises to President McKinley. Rev Haddox opened, hymns were sung, and Dr Alston Ellis led a reflective address. speakers highlighted McKinley’s public service, warned against anarchy, and urged civic fidelity as Theodore Roosevelt prepared to lead the nation.
