Restored historic ship returns to New York seaport
After a yearlong renovation the iron-hulled 1885 ship Wavertree will move to a South Street Seaport Museum berth in Manhattan. The museum, recovering from Sandy and prior crises, aims to revive New York City maritime history with renewed exhibits and events, while the Peking sails away to Hamburg.
