New West Union Street restaurant planned with evolving menu
Wasserman outlines a southern comfort focus with a creative chef and evolving menu to offer a different experience each visit. The bar will feature craft cocktails and an outdoor dining area under an awning. The project, near a former train depot, seeks zoning variance for a 10 foot street setback though city code requires 25 feet as remodeling progresses. The West Union corridor aims to become a destination with a future West Union Green and a new building for a medical school engineering center. The opening target is this fall, once approvals and construction finalize.
