Patrol Probes 2 Wrecks in Athens Weekend
The Ohio patrol investigated two weekend crashes with minor injuries. Jeffrey Whitlatch, 19, of Athens Route 1, refused treatment after a high speed crash into a power pole on Twp Road 31 near Route 50 at 12:55 a.m. Sunday. No citation was issued. Thomas Metters, 34, of 71 Sun nyside Dr., sustained a forehead bump when his car hit a building on Route 682 at Ar mitage Road at 2 p.m. Saturday after avoiding a vehicle. Metters declined treatment. no citation.

Athens Fire Squad Aids Three After Breathing Trouble and Fall
Athens emergency squadmen made three runs Sunday. David Reeder, 71, was taken to O'Bleness Memorial Hospital at 6:48 a.m. and Robert Smith, 18, at 10:48 p.m. after reporting trouble breathing. Joseph Shelley Jr., 22, was placed on a backboard and taken to the hospital at 7:25 a.m. after a fall from a ladder at Roberts Men's Clothing Store, injuring his left knee and ankle.

Medical Emergency Sends Mary O'Neal To O'Bleness Hospital
Southeast Ohio EMS transported Mary O Neal of Radford Road to O Bleness Memorial Hospital at 6 47 a m Saturday after she became ill. Earlier, squad members went to the Athens Moose Lodge on Sunday at 10 58 p m for Michael Zalupski of Athens Route 4, but he refused aid.
