Logan area youths dominated the Hocking County Fair show with champion steer Rocky Colliton age 15 from Laurelville and grand champion lamb Ron Westhoven 15 from Sugar Grove. Reserve champions included Warren Klingenberg and Tim Brown with multiple first place showmanship awards across sheep swine poultry and beef divisions.

Rain Delays Harness Races At Logan County Fair
Heavy rains canceled the first set of harness races but rescheduled for 4 30 p m with the 7 30 p m events to follow and the final races set for Saturday at 1 p m. The fair hosts a pony pulling contest at 7 30 p m in the Show Ring and other events include a 4 H dog show steer weigh‑in and livestock sale.

Parking Area Cleared In Glouster Downtown
Glouster village workers cleared the parking lot area beside the railroad track between High and Town Streets. They cleaned and mowed around parking meters and added a trash barrel as part of improvements. The work comes as Village Administrator Ralph Hines plans to make the spot more scenic. Underground cable installation by United Telephone Co is underway in downtown this week.
