Spoils Racing Card and Contests at Gallipolis
Rain at the Gallia County Fair halted the racing card and contests drawing about 3,000 spectators, far above the 1,000 paid admissions earlier. A pulling contest was cancelled and crowds dispersed without the usual event finish. Mrs. J. W. Myers of Columbus and her dealer were noted among those tied to the day’s marriages, while a gas possession dispute hovered in Ohio Supreme Court briefs filed from Lis.
