Middleport Water Standoff Divides Village and Residents
Middleport officials halted the Leading Creek Conservancy District from piping water to homes on Middleport Hill after questions about written approval. District president Jack Crisp says verbal approval existed and that stopping work risks leaving six families without water. Mayor John Zerkle and the Board of Public Affairs will review the issue at a special meeting.
