Gov Donahey says no state wide proclamation now for Ohio coal fields. He will donate fifteen dollars as an individual and heads a local relief petition. He urges committees to stay within near by localities and warns later action may come if miners officers request it.

Fifteen year old Floyd Matheny suffered a broken leg a sprained leg and minor cuts after a fall of about fifteen feet through a grain chute at the Warren Brothers garage in The Plains. Floyd was conscious when found in the basement and was taken to Dr L D Nelson's office for treatment.
Logan police sought a suspect tied to robberies at ten Logan homes on Sunday and seven Athens homes on Saturday. Patrolman George Bateman fired multiple shots when the man ran, pursuing him toward Bell's garage and the old ball lot before he vanished. Police continued a vigorous search with Chief Pearson and Officer Bateman.
Norman Hopkins, 26, a farmer, was killed when a passenger plane taking off from Portsmouth's new airport struck his farm wagon. His two sons, Glenn and Oscar, aged 6 and 9, were injured in the incident. The pilot was identified as Pat Love of Cincinnati.
