Bike Path Extension Proposed Along River Bank Bargain
The city weighs a 90 000 to 100 000 plan to extend the bike path from South Shafer Street to the West State Street recreation area. Alan Geiger of Ohio University says the route is solid though 12 foot width may invite vehicle access. Construction could begin next spring if funding appears, with possible aid from the Bureau of Outdoor Recreation.
