Increase Submarginal Land Program to 21 000 Acres

The Glouster Kiwanis Club heard that the sub marginal land investigation along East Branch of Sunday Creek has expanded to cover about 21 000 acres. The plan aims to buy only land that is poor in quality and to assist debt ridden farmers by taking their land out of production and reestablishing owners on productive lands. CCC workers and relief labor would reforest and develop the area, possibly as a park to provide long term jobs and boost business through tourism. No farmer earning a fair living will be forced to join.
