The Athens Junior Women met Tuesday at Clifford Heffelfinger’s home welcoming new members Mrs Lee Solton Mrs Harry 3 Graham Mrs Walter Dugan Mrs M K Pugate and Mrs William Kincaid Fane. They discussed annual projects for Christmas gifts for the Children’s Home and foster children and heard a Mental Health program progress report by Mrs Roger M Bee Jr. Prof A H Blickle spoke on landscaping and mental health settings. The Garden and Nature Club planned plantings and informals for canopy and subcanopy plants. A square dance was planned for December 9 at the Rome Grange gym with potluck at Mrs Raymond Lee’s home.
